To Be Or Not To Be, That is the Question. (Nak jadi ke tak jadi, Itu Soalannya)
---------------------------------
Phrase from William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

To be, or not to be, that is the Question:
Whether 'tis Nobler in the minde to suffer
The Slings and Arrowes of outragious Fortune,
Or to take Armes against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to dye, to sleepe
No more; and by a sleepe, to say we end
The Heart-ake, and the thousand Naturall shockes
That Flesh is heyre too? 'Tis a consummation
Deuoutly to be wish'd. To dye to sleepe,
To sleepe, perchance to Dreame; I, there's the rub,
For in that sleepe of death, what dreames may come,
When we haue shuffel'd off this mortall coile,
Must giue vs pawse. There's the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would beare the Whips and Scornes of time,
The Oppressors wrong, the poore mans Contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd Loue, the Lawes delay,
The insolence of Office, and the Spurnes
That patient merit of the vnworthy takes,
When he himselfe might his Quietus make
With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardles beare
To grunt and sweat vnder a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The vndiscouered Countrey, from whose Borne
No Traueller returnes, Puzels the will,
And makes vs rather beare those illes we haue,
Then flye to others that we know not of.
Thus Conscience does make Cowards of vs all,
And thus the Natiue hew of Resolution
Is sicklied o're, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprizes of great pith and moment,
With this regard their Currants turne away,
And loose the name of Action.

Make Dunno Only. Don't Become a Racist or Satan.
---------------------------------

If you have read Anwarwood Productions latest script, you would have understood what is happening in Penang and all the news as reported in MSN, Malaysiakini, Malaysia Today and other blogger's websites. Some may have high blood pressure, a stroke or even a heart attack by now.

However, my advice to all Malaysians is , "Make Dunno Only!". Continue with your Fast, make preparations for Hari Raya and Mooncake festivals or whatever festivals coming your way.

For those who don't have any upcoming festivals to celebrate, then, may I suggest, we make preparations to celebrate Malaysia Day on 16 September which is the day Malaysia was born, 45 years ago, together with our fellow brothers and sisters from East Malaysia.

If you want to continue getting excited with the news and stories coming out from Penang, then may I suggest the following for you to ponder.

1. Ahmad says Chinese are immigrants or squatters. - Tell me who isn't an immigrant or a squatter in this world?

2. If you are sensitive to the words immigrants or squatters. - I have heard much worst than that over the past 51 years. I am already desensitised.

3. Ahmad tore Tsu Khoon pictures. - No big deal. It would be better if Ahmad had called him, Ka Ting, Sammy Veloo and all those other representatives of BN parties and slap them all instead for not conforming to the spirit of the Malaysian Constitution and doing trade bartering of rights of human beings for their own party interests.

4. Ahmad talking for all Malaysians Malays? - What about DSAI? Maybe Ahmad only represent the 50 or so followers he has. Maybe he can try buying more followers.

5. Ahmad talking for all Moslems? - What about Tok Guru? Is Ahmad an ulama?

6. Reporters get threaten and so forth. - Why are the MSN reporters there in the first place? Why after interviewing Ahmad, then run to interview other BN leaders? Is the news so important that it is worth reporting? Why don't interview Malaysians on the street and ask them what they think of Ahmad and other BN leaders.

7. Use ISA, Sedition Act and so forth. - For once, I totally agree, but it is only to be used only on BN politicians. After everyone is locked up, then abolish it.

-----------------------------------

Buat Dunno Sahaja. Jangan Jadi seorang Rasis atau Setan.
------------------------------

A Malaysian Time Clock Slowly Clicking towards 16 September!
-------------------------------

Tick, Tock! Tick, Tock! Tick Tock!

Inbetween, spare parts and batteries still insufficient in case it stop.

Some try to move it faster by 15 minutes, some by 30 minutes.

Nobody thought of moving it backwards. I wonder Why?

Most keep on looking at the clock on the desk to check the time.

Some just make sure it is moving all the time.

Some just keep on staring at the clock, not sure whether it is moving or stopped.

Somebody propose the clock is not dependable. Must replace with another clock or bring in an
old working clock. At least the old clock don't show the date and month.

Someone even propose to have more clocks to make sure the time is correct.

Someone propose to put sunshade on the clock face so only some can see.

Some propose to change the numerals on the clock so that not all can read the time.

Some even propose removing the second hand from the clock. After that maybe someone will propose, removing the minute hand also.

Finally someone propose, "Why don't remove the hour hand also and just have the date and month displayed?

"Time is Golden? Does Man determine Time and Fate?"

Jam Malaysia berdetik Perlahan-lahan ke 16 September!
--------------------------------

Tick, Tock! Tick, Tock! Tick Tock!

Hairannya aku?

Kebanyakan cuma memerhati jam atas meja dan masanya.

Sesetengah cuma memastikan jam tu masih senantiasa bergerak.

How to make our mosques more useful and beneficial to all

It is very interesting to note that Sabah is building Commercial Units including stalls and eateries on the grounds of the City Mosques at Likas and Bt Padang in Kota Kinabalu and Ranau through the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) embarking on a programme to provide business premises within the compounds of selected mosques there. The Star, February 2 ‘Mosques to house business premises’.

We also read several comments by concerned people on ‘Mengimarahkan institusi masjid’ in Utusan Malaysia Feb 6, 2010.

To be continued....

Continued from previous post ...

The beautiful and massive Wilayah Persekutuan Mosque at Jalan Duta, for example, sits sprawlingly on a high ground but unfortunately, the few times that I join the daily prayers there either in the afternoon or in the evening, I only see one row (saf) filled in with worshippers in their grand and huge prayer hall. It is only full (crowded) during Friday prayers. One probably sees the same scene at most mosques in the country. This situation should be addressed and improved upon by the relevant authorities and concerned people in all states in the country.

If there were one or two or more office blocks and apartment blocks built around the WP mosque where there is ample land, I am sure the prayer hall would have more worshippers joining all the compulsory five daily prayers as a congregation (jemaah) rather than doing them individually where the benefit of performing them as a congregation is twenty seven times more according to the ‘Hadith’. Now, many people prefer to pray in their own houses individually probably due to the distance they have to travel from their houses to the mosque and the unfriendly traffic. Office blocks located on or very near mosques would definitely attract many entrepreneurs as discovered by the state of Sabah and can also be used as incubation centres by government agencies such as SME Corp Malaysia, SME Bank, PUNB, PNS, PKNS and Johore Corp. The apartment blocks would suit young couples with one or two very young children and young individuals from outstation states who need reasonably priced units or rooms to rent. Additionally, 1Malaysia clinics can also be located there and perhaps, a mini food centre, a provision shop, stalls, a 24-hour convenience store, tuition centre, IT centre, and a small recreation park with a children playground located there as well will make this place a complete self-supporting small residential community location.

Additional facilities such as a multi-purpose hall, futsal, badminton, basketball or tennis courts and a jogging track may be built where permissible. All these will make the mosque complex full with varied spiritual, mental and physical and commercial activities going on the whole day and with the main purpose of attracting more people to the mosques fully met rather than leaving most mosques in the country, including suraus, normally dark and deserted at night after the ‘Isyak prayers. Many would also go to the mosque to join colloquiums and perform the Tahajjud prayers after ‘Isyak as a congregation instead of doing them individually. People from outside the area will also come to visit and shop for goods and services besides to pray there if the development is done properly and attractively. Public bus service and taxi service operators would be most delighted to serve this community and this place then becomes a place that is fully complete with all the necessities in place. Besides these, new employment opportunities will arise.

Since this place will have some common facilities for all Malaysians, people of all races and religions other than Islam, both young and old, will also come and this will encourage them to mix with Malaysian Muslims and improve inter-religious understanding and relationship in the country between different communities. The mosque management will then be able to generate a good regular income and profits independently that could be used to maintain and repair the mosques or to renovate them and add more facilities and other things that a mosque normally does.

Mosques committees should take a look at the possibilities suggested above and make full use of the existing assets and resources available accordingly in order to make all mosques and even suraus in the country more useful and beneficial to all.

YAB Lim Guan Eng, In Penang, it is best to use the Penang State Mosque for this plan and show the BN controlled state that a PAKATAN controlled state can do better.

Thank you.
